Testing Process - Physiological Assessment
Psychological Assessment Also conducted in the Dubai Television studios, and administered by Dr Tadhg Macintyre, the psychological testing was designed to determine which of the candidates had the mental attributes required to be a successful race or rally driver. The tests were conducted individually and were computer based to eliminate any delivery bias. The assessment was comprised of the following tests:
- Test 1: Mental Skills Test
- Test 2: Mood State Profile
- Test 3: Motor Imagery Test
- Test 4: Objective Spatial Imagery Test
- Test 5: Objective Motor Imagery Test
- Test 6: Anxiety Control Test
- Test 7: Performance Profile
The importance of proper psychological preparation is vital to a sport where a drop in concentration or confidence can result in serious injury or worse.
