Motorsport has come a long way over the last decades and the Motorsport Knowledge Institute believes that motorsport should be a knowledge-led sport.
As a result we have formed a new division in our club - Motorsport Knowledge Institute to deliver training, research and education services to the FIA family.
The ATCUAE has an excellent relationship with the FIA Institute and several academic institutions worldwide and we undertake a number of educational, scientific and research projects to advance motorsport around the world.
The Motorsport Knowledge Institute (MKI), a new division of the Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE, is offering the international motorsport community a unique facility to secure an academic degree (MPhil or PhD) via motorsport research in conjunction with the University of Ulster in the UK.
This is a limited opportunity in year one with an initial 10 places available for interested and motivated applicants who have substantial motorsport experience, an undergraduate degree and a good command of English. Those wishing to pursue this rewarding path are encouraged to send a research proposal and a brief CV by June 15th to MKI Chairman Dr. Sean O’Connor (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The University of Ulster is in the top 10 of the UK’s most popular universities with over fifty years’ experience in the area of sports education and research and has one of the highest further study and employment rates in the country. All fees go directly to the University as the MKI provides this service free to the motorsport community to help build knowledge and capacity.
